Scotian Gold Cooperative in Coldbrook, Novia Scotia has become the newest NWTF vendor to supply wildlife mixes for our Canadian members and landowners. They are best known in Canada for their cooperative grower-produced apples from the fertile Annapolis Valley. However, they are quite diversified and supply a variety of country store items and agricultural products including seed and tree seedlings.
There have been several requests from our Canadian members for NWTF wildlife mixes for use in Novia Scotia and other provinces. Because of the complexity of export of agricultural products, current NWTF conservation products were unable to be shipped into Canada. Being a Canadian company will allow the sale and shipment within Canada.
Scotian Gold’s Sonny Murray and NWTF Biologist Bob Eriksen formulated two mixes now available to Canadian landowners. One is a legume mix named Sweet Legumes and the other is a legume/grass mix named Lucky Rock ‘n Rye.
